Much like Tiger Woods, Chicago Bears tight end Jimmy Graham experienced a similarly terrifying rollover car accident this week.
On Thursday morning, Graham's vehicle rolled over in Miami after he swerved to avoid a car blocking the road. The 34-year-old avoided any significant and life-threatening injuries and took to Twitter to explain what happened.
Just wanted to get ahead of this and tell everybody I’m fine. Was in an accident this morning trying to avoid a disabled vehicle in the center lane. I walked away from it unscathed. Blessings— Jimmy Graham (@TheJimmyGraham) March 4, 2021
According to Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640, Graham is not considered at fault for what happened and did not want to be looked over by first responders after the accident.
Bears TE Jimmy Graham was in a single vehicle rollover crash in Miami on Thursday morning, sources tell me.— Andy Slater (@AndySlater) March 4, 2021
He was not injured and did not even want to be checked out by paramedics.
Graham was not at fault, I’m told. He swerved to avoid a car that was blocking the road.
The 34-year-old is entering the final year of the two-year, $16 million contract he signed with the Bears last offseason.
In 2020, Graham caught 50 passes for 456 yards and eight touchdowns. He'll be expected to put up similar, if not better, numbers in 2021.
