Chicago Bears one-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Allen Robinson signed his franchise tag earlier this spring but has not yet put pen to paper on a desired contract extension with the club.
Despite that, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times reports the 27-year-old will report for the start of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.
Robinson did not attend voluntary organized team activities over the past two weeks, and there was speculation he could stage a holdout in an attempt to push the Bears to the negotiating table. He and the club have until July 15 to reach an agreement or else he'll play under the tag and then be eligible for free agency next March.
Robinson led the Bears with 102 receptions for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns during the 2020 season. He said in April that signing the franchise tag was "what was best at the time" and added he was "in a good place." He is now set to get in some work with new Chicago QB1 Andy Dalton and rookie signal-caller Justin Fields.
