In addition, Jordan Kovacs has been promoted to assistant linebackers coach.
Bettcher will fill the vacancy left by Al Golden, who recently became Notre Dame's new defensive coordinator. Bettcher has nine years of NFL coaching experience, including two seasons as the defensive coordinator with the New York Giants in 2018 and 2019 and three in the same role with the Arizona Cardinals from 2015 to 2017.
Burks spent the last three seasons with the Miami Dolphins, first as a coaching assistant and then as the cornerbacks coach. Frazier was an offensive line coach in the college game with numerous programs from 1998 to 2019 before being hired by the New York Jets that year.
After two seasons with the Jets, Frazier was hired as the University of Wyoming's offensive line coach for the 2021 campaign. Kovacs is in his fourth season with the Bengals, spending the last three years as the squad's defensive quality control coach.
