Bengals Pro Bowl DE Trey Hendrickson clears concussion protocol, set to play vs. Titans

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson played just 33 snaps during the team's AFC wild-card playoff win over the Las Vegas Raiders last week and was eventually placed in the NFL's concussion protocol. On Thursday, "Who Dey" nation received welcomed news on the 27-year-old.

Hendrickson was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft and spent the first four years of his career with the organization. During his time in New Orleans, Hendrickson recorded 65 tackles, 43 quarterback hits and 20.0 sacks across 45 regular season games.

In 2020, the Florida Atlantic product finished tied with Los Angeles Rams' superstar Aaron Donald for second in the NFL in sacks with 13.5, trailing only T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers (15.0). In his first year with Cincinnati in 2021, Hendrickson set career-highs in tackles (34), quarterback hits (27), sacks (14.0) and forced fumbles (three).

Despite missing one game, Hendrickson still finished fifth in the league in sacks this past season.

The fourth-seeded Bengals will travel to face the top-seeded Tennessee Titans in the AFC Divisional round at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
