Chase played with Burrow for the quarterback's junior and senior seasons. In two seasons with the Tigers, Chase caught 107 passes for 2,093 yards and 23 touchdowns.
The 21-year-old opted out of the 2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic and the fact that he actually contracted COVID-19. In a recent interview, Chase revealed that he even needed asthma pumps to help with trouble breathing due to COVID.
Chase was the first wide receiver off the board on Thursday, going before Alabama wideouts DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle, Florida's Kadarius Toney and Minnesota's Rashod Bateman.
