Cincinnati Scores 35 Unanswered Points in Stunning Comeback

The Cincinnati Bengals delivered an impressive second-half performance Sunday, defeating the Baltimore Ravens 35-13 after trailing 13-0 at halftime. Cincinnati’s offense came alive after the break, scoring touchdowns on five consecutive possessions to complete a dominant comeback at M&T Bank Stadium.

The victory was especially important for the Bengals in a competitive AFC North race. Baltimore entered the matchup looking to protect its home field, but Cincinnati completely changed the momentum after halftime and left the Ravens searching for answers.

Ravens Control the First Half

Baltimore appeared to have the advantage early in the game, particularly with Cincinnati struggling to move the football offensively.

Quarterback Tyler Huntley connected with Zay Flowers for a 48 yard touchdown in the first quarter, giving the Ravens an early lead. Baltimore added two Tyler Loop field goals in the second quarter to extend its advantage to 13-0.

The Ravens controlled possession and limited the Bengals’ passing attack. Joe Burrow completed just six passes in the first half, while wide receiver Tee Higgins failed to record a catch before halftime.

However, Cincinnati remained within striking distance, and the offense finally found its rhythm after the break.

Burrow Leads Explosive Second Half

Burrow and the Bengals came out with a completely different approach in the third quarter. The quarterback connected with tight end Mike Gesicki for a six-yard touchdown, cutting Baltimore’s lead to 13-7.

Cincinnati continued applying pressure, and Burrow found Higgins for a 13 yard touchdown later in the quarter. The score gave the Bengals their first lead of the afternoon at 14-13.

The comeback continued in the fourth quarter. Running back Samaje Perine scored on a one-yard touchdown run to extend Cincinnati’s advantage to eight points.

Burrow then connected with Ja’Marr Chase for a two-yard touchdown, putting the Bengals firmly in control. After Cincinnati’s defense intercepted Huntley, Burrow delivered his fourth touchdown pass of the afternoon, finding Drew Sample for a 16 yard score.

That touchdown capped Cincinnati’s remarkable run of 35 unanswered points.

Burrow finished 22 of 30 passing for 292 yards and four touchdowns. Higgins was a major contributor, catching six passes for 148 yards and a touchdown. Chase added five receptions for 62 yards and a score.

Bengals Gain Momentum as Ravens Face Questions

The loss was a frustrating one for Baltimore, which struggled to generate offense after halftime. The Ravens were without Lamar Jackson, who missed the game with an ankle injury, and could not recover once Cincinnati seized control.

Baltimore finished with just 13 points despite its strong opening half. Derrick Henry was limited to 45 rushing yards, while Flowers led the receiving attack with 137 yards.

Cincinnati improved to 4-2, while Baltimore fell to 4-3. The Bengals will look to carry their second-half momentum into next week’s matchup against Tennessee, while the Ravens prepare for a difficult road game against Buffalo.

For Cincinnati, the comeback was a statement victory. For Baltimore, it was another reminder that a strong start means little without a complete four quarter performance.
