Bengals Release Statement Following Major Cincinnati Announcement

The Cincinnati Bengals will be staying in town for the foreseeable future. Hamilton County has agreed to a new deal to modernize Paycor Stadium and keep the Bengals in downtown Cincinnati through June 2036.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the news on social media. The Bengals also released a statement on the matter.

“This is a significant day for the Bengals and Hamilton County as we secure the team’s future in Cincinnati,” said Bengals Executive Vice President Katie Blackburn. “We thank the Hamilton County Commissioners for supporting this agreement to ensure Paycor Stadium remains an excellent venue and a focal point for Cincinnati’s riverfront. We are proud to call Paycor Stadium our home and to keep our future here in Cincinnati, where it belongs.”

This is great news for the Bengals organization and all the fans. There had been some concern that the team could leave the city, and now those issues have been put to rest.

The Bengals have a very loyal fan base, and many were worried that the team could relocate due to this issue. But Cincinnati is here to stay, and the team can now look forward to bringing a title back to the city.

With star quarterback Joe Burrow in the mix, the Bengals will have a shot at a Super Bowl run next season. Cincinnati barely missed the playoffs last year following a surge at the end of the year.

The biggest question for the Bengals is on the defensive side of the ball. But if the team can play decent enough defense this year, the offense should be able to carry things.

Cincinnati opens its season on Sept. 7 against the Cleveland Browns.
