Bengals TE C.J. Uzomah misses practice, not yet ruled out for Super Bowl

Cincinnati Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah is going to need to have a better week beginning on Monday if he's going to be able to face the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl on Feb. 13.

Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Uzomah did not practice on Friday after being sidelined all week due to the sprained MCL in his left knee he suffered during last Sunday's win at the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship. The Bengals are still hoping Uzomah may be good to go two Sundays down the road and, according to James Rapien of All Bengals, haven't yet ruled him out for the Super Bowl.

Uzomah built solid chemistry with second-year quarterback Joe Burrow and enjoyed the best campaign of his pro career. As noted by ESPN stats, the 29-year-old finished the regular season fourth on the team with 49 catches, 63 targets and 493 receiving yards, and he was tied for third among Cincinnati players with five touchdown grabs. Before his injury, he recorded 13 catches for 135 yards and a score in the postseason.

For what it's worth, Uzomah has suggested via Twitter he'll be in the lineup for the Super Bowl:

The Bengals plan to arrive in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
