Fantasy football drafts are approaching as the season is now less than three weeks away from kickoff. Here is the best player to target from each NFC team in fantasy football drafts. Note that the best player doesn’t necessarily mean the player projected to score the most points; other factors, such as the FantasyPros consensus ADP, also go into determining the best fantasy football target from each team.
Wide receiver Malik Nabers led the NFL with a 34.9% target share last year. The Giants have an upgrade at quarterback, regardless of who is starting out of Russell Wilson , Jameis Winston, or Jaxson Dart. Nabers is one of the best picks at the end of the first round, and it would not be surprising if he finishes the year as the overall WR1 in fantasy football.

Saquon Barkley got all the attention last season, but wide receiver A.J. Brown had another great season. He finished 12th in fantasy points per game. He was the WR6 and WR5 in the previous two seasons in total fantasy points. The Eagles passing offense will run through Brown, making him an underrated target in the second round of fantasy drafts.
Quarterback Dak Prescott has a weird odd/even year pattern. In the last three odd seasons, his fantasy finishes are the QB2, QB8, and QB3. In the last three even seasons, his finishes are the QB32 (5 games played), QB18 (12), and the QB31 (8). Obviously, injuries have cost him in those seasons. Regardless of whether you want to believe in a weird pattern like this, Prescott was a top MVP contender during the 2023 season. The Cowboys passing offense only got better with the addition of George Pickens. The running game is not expected to be great, so Prescott will have to throw a ton. He is a great quarterback to wait on in fantasy drafts, as he is going outside of the top ten quarterbacks.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels was amazing last season in his rookie year, finishing as the QB5. With another year under his belt, he should be even better. His dual-threat abilities give him one of the highest ceilings and is worth the early draft pick.

Running back Jahmyr Gibbs is going in the early-to-mid first round and is definitely worth it. The offense runs through Gibbs. Even if David Montgomery takes carries away from Gibbs, he has shown that he can be productive on limited touches. Gibbs has the potential to be the overall RB1 in fantasy football this season.
The Bears built their offense around quarterback Caleb Williams, bringing in new head coach Ben Johnson. They drafted Luther Burden III and Colston Loveland to join D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze, and Cole Kmet. There are a lot of weapons to feed in the offense. Instead of trying to pick which skill player will get the most work, draft Williams, who is being drafted as the QB15, as he is in a good position to become the first Chicago Bears’ passer ever to throw for 4000 passing yards in a season. Williams is a great late-round quarterback target in fantasy football this year.
Tight end T.J. Hockenson has played three full healthy seasons in the NFL. His fantasy finishes in those years were the TE5, TE2, and TE4. He is now fully recovered from his injuries that kept him out for a good part of the 2024 season. Hockenson will be one of J.J. McCarthy’s favorite targets as he gets acclimated to the NFL.
The Packers have a lot of weapons in the wide receiver room, but also a lot of question marks. Therefore, draft tight end Tucker Kraft, who is being drafted as the TE12. Kraft was second among tight ends in yards per reception and yards per route run last season. If his target share can increase a little bit, then the breakout season is coming for Kraft.
If you have a top-two overall pick, the answer is Bijan Robinson. However, Drake London is a great target at the end of the second round. There is a drop-off in talent among wide receivers after him in drafts. London was excellent with Michael Penix Jr. last season when he took over, including scoring over 40 fantasy points in Week 18. London was the WR5 last season. Expect big things from him again in 2025.

Running back Bucky Irving was a rookie sensation last season, finishing as the RB13. After getting off to a slow start, Irving was a top ten running back in five of the final eight games of the season. He took over the backfield from Rachaad White. The Buccaneers are one of the best offenses in the league, and Irving will be front and center in that.
Bryce Young needed an alpha wide receiver, and he got that when the Panthers drafted Tetairoa McMillan with the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. McMillan was excellent in college, and he becomes the immediate WR1 in Carolina. He is being drafted as the WR28, making him a great value and target in fantasy football in 2025.
The Saints only have one player worth drafting in fantasy football, and that player is running back Alvin Kamara. Kamara was the overall RB9 in just 14 games played last season. He has been a top 16 running back in all eight years of his career and has six top ten finishes. Kamara is currently being drafted as the RB15, which is his floor. Whoever the Saints quarterback is will look to dump off the ball to Kamara often. Expect another big fantasy season for the 30-year-old Kamara.
Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba broke out in his sophomore season last year, finishing as the WR9. Now with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett gone, JSN is the clear WR1 on the team. Even with a downgrade at quarterback in Sam Darnold compared to Geno Smith, JSN is still set up for success.

It took until Week 17 before tight end Trey McBride caught a touchdown, as he finished the year with just two receiving touchdowns. He has only six career receiving touchdowns in his three-year career. Positive touchdown regression is bound to happen. He had the highest target share among tight ends and finished with the highest expected fantasy points per game. He easily has the potential to be the overall TE1 in fantasy, but he is being drafted a whole round after Brock Bowers. McBride is an excellent target in the third round of fantasy football drafts.
Wide receiver Davante Adams has had five straight top-11 fantasy finishes. He accomplished this despite playing in only 14 games last season. Adams was a top 13 weekly wide receiver in four of his final five games played as a Jet with Aaron Rodgers. He comes over to the Rams and will be the WR2 behind Puka Nacua. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has shown that he can support two fantasy-relevant wide receivers. However, he is dealing with back injuries, but Adams has a great connection with backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Adams is being drafted as the WR17. He has only finished worse than that one time since 2015.
Brandon Aiyuk is expected to be out until at least Week 6 (not that we can trust head coach Kyle Shanahan on injuries), Deebo Samuel was traded to the Commanders, and Jauan Jennings wants a new contract. Tight end George Kittle will be the focal point of the passing game for the 49ers. He has played in at least 14 games in six of the last seven seasons. In those six years, he has had six top-five fantasy finishes. Kittle has shown no signs of slowing down, and another top-five finish with the top two potential is in store for 2025 in a depleted 49ers pass-catching room.
