Best NFL Bets for Week 14: Our Experts’ Favorite NFL Picks Against the Spread

Last week, we warned you about those double-digit pointspreads. Teams favored by 10 or more went 0-3 in Week 12. In Week 13, there were just two double-digit spreads, and the favorites went 1-1 against the spread. The Los Angeles Rams were 10.5-point favorites against the Carolina Panthers and they lost outright. The Seattle Seahawks were favored by 10.5 over the Minnesota Vikings and won big, 26-0.

Well, guess what… there are zero double-digit favorites in Week 14. That’s partially due to the sportsbooks seeing the same thing you’re seeing in terms of close games. But it’s also because December is when the divisional matchups start heating up, and the competition is that much tougher.

There are seven division games this week — including three between teams that are either tied or within a game of each other for first place. Oddly, only one of those games has a line less than a field goal: Indianapolis Colts -1.5 at Jacksonville Jaguars in a battle for AFC South supremacy. In the other two matchups, the Green Bay Packers are favored by 6.5 at home over the Chicago Bears, and the Baltimore Ravens are 5.5-point favorites at home vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.

All three of those games make an appearance in this week’s best bets.

Road favorites update: Road favorites went 3-4 last week — the third straight losing week for this category. The season record stands at 43-32-1. Still good, though not as good as it was a few weeks ago.
