Betting odds show little faith in Eagles beating Seahawks on Monday Night Football
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The pressure is on for the (10-3) Philadelphia Eagles after losing back-to-back crucial matchups.

Next, they'll face the (6-7) Seattle Seahawks, who they have not been able to beat since 2008.

While many Eagles fans are losing hope in the Birds, sportsbooks are too and have them favored to win by less than a touchdown.

The Eagles are just 3.5-point favorites over the Seahawks with a 48-point over/under for Monday night.

However, it's hard to disagree with the oddsmakers for making the spread this low because the Eagles' offense has looked atrocious and their new and unimproved swiss cheese defense doesn't impose any kind of threat.

The Eagles rank 28th in scoring defense and can't defend the pass ever if their life depended on it. They have allowed the second-most passing touchdowns and rank second to last in interceptions.

First, the 49ers exposed them and then the Cowboys did so using the Niners' tactics.  So, who is to say that the Seahawks use the same blueprint and succeed?

The Eagles. That's who.

This matchup is a must-win for the Birds and players are fed up.

The Eagles have no choice but to fix their mistakes and win as they try to reclaim the NFC East and No. 1 seed.

And they can do just that against a 26th-ranked defense and 14th-ranked offense by playing harder and starting faster.
