The Buffalo Bills entered the NFL playoffs with plenty of expectations. With both the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens failing to make the postseason, Josh Allen and company had a legitimate chance to make it to the Super Bowl.

Sean McDermott's team finished with a 12-5 record in the regular season, with Allen throwing for 3,668 yards and 25 touchdowns. The Bills QB also rushed for 579 yards and 14 scores on the ground.

Buffalo beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild card round, and heading to their divisional round showdown with the Denver Broncos, they had the third-best odds to win the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, the Bills lost to the Broncos in overtime, 33-30. In a painful turn of events, Allen's pass to wide receiver Brandin Cooks that would have put Buffalo in field goal range in OT was snatched away by Denver defensive back Ja'Quan McMillian.

Unsurprisingly, the Bills were both heartbroken and frustrated with the result. Defensive end Joey Bosa was caught on camera slamming his helmet hard onto the tunnel wall, unable to hold back his anger.

Bosa had three combined tackles in the game; however, he was called for roughing the passer on Broncos QB Bo Nix and is likely facing a punishment from the NFL.

Meanwhile, Allen couldn't help but get emotional. In his postgame presser, the Bills star was in tears, as he shared that he let his teammates down with his performance. Allen threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns, but was intercepted twice and fumbled the ball two times as well.

Buffalo now heads to the offseason with plenty of uncertainty, especially after wasting a golden opportunity to reach the Super Bowl.
