The Buffalo Bills took care of business against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Led by a career performance from James Cook, in which he ran for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns, the Bills won 40-9 on the road against the Panthers.
However, the win did not come without a cost for the Bills, as star defensive tackle Ed Oliver left the game in the second quarter with an arm injury.
Oliver, who was selected with the ninth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Bills, is in his seventh year with Buffalo. In his career, Oliver has totaled 243 tackles, 56 tackles for loss, 30 sacks and nine forced fumbles.
So far this season, Oliver has 12 total tackles with seven tackles for loss and three sacks. That includes his three tackles and one sack against the Panthers before he left the game with an injury.
On Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter said early signs point to Oliver missing a good chunk of time.
"Bills fear that standout DT Ed Oliver tore his bicep and will be sidelined indefinitely, per sources," Schefter wrote. "Oliver is undergoing an MRI to confirm the injury."

Oliver previously missed four games this year with an ankle injury, and it looks like his season may be done. This is a huge blow for the Bills, who are trying to win their sixth consecutive AFC East title.
After their big win over the Panthers, the Bills (5-2) will take on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (4-3) at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday.
