Bills get crucial Josh Allen injury update

The Buffalo Bills got their superstar quarterback an elite pass-catching weapon.

However, there were still some doubts about how long it would take for Josh Allen to get on the field with DJ Moore, given that he underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in his foot.

The Bills had been tight-lipped about Allen's recovery progress, and while the procedure was believed to be minor, no news isn't always good news. That's why the fans can finally catch some sleep, as head coach Joe Brady just confirmed to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that Allen will be 100 percent healthy for the offseason program.

Josh Allen will be ready to roll for training camp

"He’s good to go," Brady told Pelissero. "The thing about Josh Allen, he got surgery after the season, but he’s playing as if you think there’s nothing wrong with him. The guy could barely walk, and then he’s playing games and it’s not impacting [his play]. He’s built different. And let’s hope it continues that way, but he’ll be good to go in the offseason. I talk with him regularly. He’s just excited to get going with guys like DJ Moore, kind of figure out what it’s going to look like, just this new kind of era.”

The Bills will enter a crucial season after parting ways with head coach Sean McDermott. They've strengthened their ranks on both sides of the field, also adding Bradley Chubb and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Even though they might still need another wide receiver, Keon Coleman could still break out in Year 3 after being the scapegoat for most of last season.

Whatever the case, one thing's for sure: Their MVP quarterback will be fully healthy and ready to roll. Allen is the odds-on favorite to win MVP again next season. Even with a new head coach, he's thrived under Joe Brady, who took over play-calling duties from former offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey.

And with Moore also playing with a chip on his shoulder after being the odd man out in Chicago, he might be looking at a career year in upstate New York.
