The Buffalo Bills aren't the only team battling through injuries, even in the upcoming contest against the Atlanta Falcons. Ahead of the contest , head coach Sean McDermott ruled out linebacker Matt Milano, rookie defensive tackle T.J. Sanders, and safety Damar Hamlin for the Falcons game.
Sanders will need knee surgery, and both he and Hamlin have been placed on injured reserve. A devastating blow for the promising young rookie and the veteran safety.

On the Falcons' side of things, the team has ruled out one of their premier pass catchers, which could ultimately wind up being the difference-maker for the Buffalo Bills. The Falcons have already ruled out wide receiver Darnell Mooney, who is dealing with a hamstring injury.

The six-year veteran has caught seven catches for 79 yards this season, a slow start to his campaign. In 2024, Mooney finished the season with 64 catches for 992 yards and five touchdowns, a huge weapon for them despite what the early showings may indicate.

Injuries are inevitable, and both teams will do whatever they can to put a team on the field that's capable of competing and winning the contest. The Buffalo Bills, under Sean McDermott, since 2017 are 30-13 after a regular season loss and hope to continue that impressive history against the Falcons.
Anytime you have quarterback Josh Allen on the roster, you have to like your chances of securing a victory. Buffalo is shorthanded on defense, but Atlanta is missing a key playmaker. No excuses when the opening kickoff takes place, and Buffalo will hopefully use the "wake-up" call loss to the New England Patriots as fuel for great things.

Both teams enter the matchup bruised but unbroke. The difference will come down to execution and playing good, complementary football. Buffalo has every opportunity to bounce back in a big way and remind the league why they're still among the AFC's elite.
