Bills' Josh Allen breaks Patrick Mahomes record in win over Dolphins

Josh Allen's primetime victory Thursday didn't just push the Buffalo Bills to 3-0. The star QB also beat Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes' record for a significant touchdown milestone.

After throwing for three scores against the hapless Miami Dolphins in a 31-21 win, Allen has now recorded 301 touchdowns from scrimmage in 127 games, one game quicker than Mahomes, the previous record-holder.

Allen didn't need long to get going, as his first touchdown of the night came on the Bills' first drive of the game, finding tight end Dalton Kincaid for a 20-yard score.

Allen got a little more unconventional for his record-tying 300th career touchdown from scrimmage, flicking the ball to tight end Jackson Hawes for the rookie's first score in the NFL.

The eventual record-breaker was also the game-winner, as Allen hit Khalil Shakir on a screen to give Buffalo the lead for good in the fourth quarter.

Allen, the reigning NFL MVP, has thrown for 755 yards and five touchdowns in three games this year with no interceptions, adding 114 yards and two scores on the ground.

NFL fans can continue debating if Allen has put himself ahead of the likes of Mahomes and Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson as the league's best quarterback, but it's become easy for Bills Mafia to crown Allen as the NFL's top dog.
