Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills looked to continue their perfect 2025 NFL season in Week 4, hosting Spencer Rattler and the New Orleans Saints. Through the first three games, Allen has continued to impress, coming off his first MVP season, throwing for 755 yards and five touchdowns while adding 114 yards and two scores on the ground. But against the Saints, Allen entered the record books on numerous occasions.
Coming into Sunday's game, Allen had recorded 69 scrimmage touchdowns (67 rushing, two catching) during his nine-year career with the Bills, tied for the third-most in franchise history. But midway through the third quarter against New Orleans, Allen ran it into the end zone for his first rushing score of the day and 70th scrimmage touchdown of his career.
In doing so, Allen passed Bills legend O.J. Simpson (70) for sole possession of third place on Buffalo’s all-time scrimmage touchdowns list. The former Wyoming quarterback now trails only wide receiver Andre Reed and running back Thurman Thomas, who share the franchise record with 87 scrimmage touchdowns each.
"Josh Allen runs it in on the five yard rushing TD, marking his 70th career scrimmage TD and surpassing O.J. Simpson (69) for the third-most in team history," Buffalo Bills PR wrote on X. "Allen now trails only Andre Reed & Thurman Thomas (87 each) for the most scrimmage TDs in Bills team history."

Not only that, but Allen also threw his first touchdown pass against the Saints early in the first quarter, a 43-yard strike to Kahlil Shakir. With it, Allen now has 45 career games with both a passing and rushing score, tying Panthers legend Cam Newton for the most in NFL history.
"Today marks Josh Allen's 45th career game with a rushing and passing touchdown, tying Cam Newton for the most games with a pass & rushing TD in NFL history," Buffalo Bills PR posted.
