Bills 'Nightmare Draft Scenario' for Josh Allen?

The Buffalo Bills, like 31 other NFL teams, are building their draft boards in preparation for the upcoming NFL Draft.

Buffalo's most pressing needs are on defense, with corner and defensive line the most critical positions that need reinforcing.

Some feel another receiver is needed, although we think Josh Allen's ability to have the offense average a cool 30.9 points a game last year without a No. 1 option means he will be just fine if another isn't added.

So with defense a clear target, perhaps in the first two rounds, the Bills likely know who they will be targeting...but what happens if they are off the board?

For Bleacher Reports Brad Gagnon, he has given a "nightmare" draft scenario for all 32 teams, and when it comes to the Bills, no defensive studs are left when it's their time to pick.

"The Patriots and Jets land immediate impact players with top-seven picks and a first-round run on defensive standouts leaves none for them in the No. 30 spot," Gagnon writes.

Would that be a nightmare scenario? Potentially, but the Bills' offense last season was solid enough, plus, they've added Joey Bosa to help bring some more juice to the pass rush.

It wouldn't be ideal for a run on defensive studs to happen, but the Bills could look to potentially trade up if they see a couple of defensive players being taken in a row, with corner being the biggest need.

If this scenario did play out, then the Bills' game plan in 2025 might be to outscore the opposition, and Allen might need to put on his Superman cape.

Again, that isn't ideal, but the Bills' defense is solid enough that it wouldn't be the end of the world if they miss out on a couple of defensive players in the draft.

Free agency might be an avenue Buffalo goes down if this scenario does eventuate.
