Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills got off to a scorching hot start to the 2025 NFL season, winning their first four games.
However, as soon as the calendar flipped from September to October, the Bills have hit a wall of sorts. They lost in Week 5 to their AFC East rival New England Patriots, and answered with a Week 6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on "Monday Night Football."
In the tough stretch, the team's quarterback and 2024 league MVP, Josh Allen has had some underwhelming moments. Across the team's first four wins, Allen averaged 241 yards passing, completed 70.2% of his passes and threw seven touchdowns to just one interception. In the two losses, Allen is averaging just 216 yards passing, while completing 64.9% of his passes and throwing four touchdowns with three interceptions.
When speaking to the media on Wednesday, Allen revealed that he's working on not getting so down on himself when times are rough. The 29-year-old signal caller also revealed that his grandmother called him with the request that he smile more.

"Leading from the front, but also having energy and juice," Allen said. "And not putting my head in the sand. You know, my grandma called me and was like 'I just want to see you smile.'"
Allen later admitted it's easier to smile when you win and are having success, but expressed he needs to do a better job of executing the gameplan and having more fun when he plays.
Allen and the Bills will have a chance to get back in the win column on Sunday as they host the Carolina Panthers (4-3), who are expected to be without quarterback Bryce Young due to an ankle injury.
Sunday's game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET and air on FOX.
