Bills quarterback Josh Allen expects fine for profane outburst during win

Bills quarterback Josh Allen says he expects that he will face a hefty fine for a profane outburst he had toward a referee during the team's win over the Los Angeles Rams.

"I can't lose my cool," Allen told Pro Football Talk. "I used bad language that I shouldn't use to a ref … I'm sure I'll get a nice little fine for that."

Allen is referring to an exchange he had with a ref during the fourth quarter as the Bills were trying to stave off the Rams' comeback. On 3rd-and-22, Allen was tackled by defensive tackle Aaron Donald. The QB felt like he was taken down by a horse-collar tackle and expressed his anger toward the referee for the no-call. (For the record, the referee made the right call, as a defender can't be flagged for a horse-collar tackle while the quarterback is in the pocket.)

While Allen may be forced to give up a nice chunk of change for his outburst, the good far outweighs the bad for his performance in the game. He lit up the Rams defense during the game, including throwing the go-ahead touchdown with less than 10 seconds left.

Thanks to Allen's heroics, the Bills are now 3-0 and look prime to be a serious contender in the AFC. He is off to a sensational start to the season, throwing 10 touchdowns and just one interception while completing over 70 percent of his passes. He was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for his impressive play.
