Bills TE Dawson Knox (hand) to return at Jets

Buffalo Bills star tight end Dawson Knox suffered a fracture in his right hand in the 34-31 loss to the Tennessee Titans back on Oct. 18 ahead of Buffalo's bye and underwent surgery to repair that setback.

Per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN, Knox missed only the last two games and carries no injury designation heading into Sunday's divisional matchup at the 2-6 New York Jets.

"[Knox is] a guy that's big, powerful, strong, fast. and obviously he's made some plays for us this year," quarterback Josh Allen said of one of his favorite targets. "We're going to need him to continue to make plays for us if we want to be successful."

Those aren't merely nice words coming from the CEO of Buffalo's offense. Per ESPN stats, Knox still leads the Bills with five touchdown receptions even though he was sidelined the past two weeks. He's also contributed 21 catches for 286 yards.

As Getzenberg noted, Buffalo's offense averaged 32.7 points per game with Knox in the lineup. That number fell to 16 PPG over the past two contests, including last Sunday's shocking 9-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars that dropped the Bills to 5-3 on the season.
