The Baltimore Ravens' season came to an end on Sunday in a tight thriller of a Divisional Round loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens put up a good fight, but an unfortunate drop from Mark Andrews on a two-point conversion try left the Ravens unable to complete a comeback in the 27-25 loss.
As the Bills move on to the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Ravens are forced to look ahead toward next season. One Ravens star isn't too sure about what that looks like.
Four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All Pro cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who has spent his entire eight year career with the Ravens, said his team is "done" after the game.
"Man, honestly, this sounds kind of, just not really a great answer, but there's only a select few people that know they're gonna be here next year," Humphrey said. "There really ain't a true message, like this team is done. So obviously, there's a message to go. But you know, the way I look at it, some guys will be here, some guys won't. Who knows what?"
"I know I got no more years guaranteed on this contract. So whatever message you have, you could be on the same team you could be on another team. Some guys will stay. Some guys will leave. I fall into that same bucket. The message is we lost, get over it."
While Humphrey's contract does technically run through 2026, the 28-year-old doesn't have any guaranteed money next season, meaning the Ravens could move on from the All-Pro.
Humphrey had 67 tackles, five for loss, with six interceptions, 15 pass deflections and two forced fumbles this season. Humphrey had four tackles and logged the fourth-most defensive snaps in the Ravens' season-ending loss on Sunday.
Humphrey would certainly have plenty of suitors this offseason after being named to AP's All-Pro First Team this season. One of the NFL's premiere corners, it's hard to imagine the Ravens would let him go, but as Humphrey alluded to, there's a lot of uncertainty and emotion about the future of the roster.
