Bleacher Report has come out with a 2025 NFL re-draft as the NFL season is set to kick off.

To no one's surprise, the Eagles would stick with linebacker Jihaad Campbell as their first-round draft pick, according to Brad Gagnon.

"There have been some growing pains in pass coverage, but that's not enough to push Campbell out of Round 1. He's earned significant early-season reps, thanks primarily to an awesome performance in Philly's second preseason game. The buzz is there for good reason."

Eagles made the right call sticking with Campbell in the first round

While the Eagles do have a bit of a need in the secondary, Campbell has lived up to expectations since joining the Eagles, playing significant reps in the preseason and working with the Eagles' first-team defense.

Campbell really raised eyebrows in his two preseason appearances, totaling seven tackles and one sack. Campbell registered four tackles and one sack against the Browns in the Eagles' second preseason game, cementing the upside Howie Roseman saw when drafting the young linebacker.

Campbell has earned the praise of his teammates since joining the Eagles. Saquon Barkley has called the rookie "Super raw, like, freaky athletic." Barkley has even likened the linebacker to Micah Parsons.

"He's kinda built like [Micah Parsons] a little bit, knowing Micah for a long time. So I feel like as he grows and learns the game a little bit more, you're gonna be able to put him in different spots."

Campbell can also learn from Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and Zack Baun. Baun had the best season of his career under Fangio and is expected to lead the Eagles' defense this coming season. With the versatility of Campbell, the Eagles are primed to rebuild their defensive front seven on the fly, having lost Milton Williams, Brandon Graham, Bryce Huff, and Josh Sweat.

Campbell is just one piece of a 2025 Eagles draft class that already has high expectations. Second-round pick Andrew Mukuba was primed to receive significant reps before injuries hampered his availability, Ty Robinson looks to already be an asset in the defensive line, and Antwaun Powell-Ryland could be a sleeper currently stashed on the practice squad.

Campbell won't have to wait long to show Roseman his ROI with his draft pick and show the NFL why he can be one of the best linebackers in the game.
