Bold predictions for the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2025 season: Aaron Rodgers' revenge, T.J. Watt's reclamation project, and more

It's finally game week for the Pittsburgh Steelers. With what was the most active, dramatic, and polarizing offseason in recent memory for Pittsburgh, it only feels right to make some predictions as bold as the Steelers' 2025 strategy.

How will Aaron Rodgers look? Will T.J. Watt return to form? And what is the ultimate result of the Steelers' 2025 season? All of that in our 2025 bold predictions:

Bold Prediction No. 1: Aaron Rodgers performs at an MVP level

Look, I'm not going to come out here and tell you Aaron Rodgers is going to play at an All-Pro level that mirrors what he did when he won back-to-back MVPs with the Green Bay Packers. What I do believe, however, is that he is more than capable of putting up 30 TDs, 7-10 INTs, and 4,500 passing yards.

If he receives protection from Troy Fautanu and Broderick Jones, coupled with the unlocking of the middle of the field from Arthur Smith via DK Metcalf, Pat Friermuth, and Jonnu Smith, I think the 42-year-old future Hall of Famer has one more run in him.

Bold Prediction No. 2: T.J. Watt wins DPOY

Look, I know T.J. Watt just signed a deal that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league before Micah Parsons last week, but I don't think he's going to be short on motivation. Last year was statistically, one of the worst of Watt's career.

He went MIA down the stretch of the season, and that sour taste, along with what he believes to be a stolen DPOY from Myles Garrett in 2023, will have him ready to bounce back. And with the best supporting cast he's had around him during his time in Pittsburgh, I'm willing to bet he's much better in 2025.

Bold Prediction No. 3: Steelers win AFC North

Here's my rationale for this one. If Aaron Rodgers plays up to our first prediction, and if T.J. Watt returns to his 2023 form, what is to stop the Steelers from winning the division? Do you wish they had a better WR corps top to bottom? Sure.

Are there questions about the offensive line and whether or not they will gel? Undoubtedly. But if they can get anything out of Roman Wilson and their tackle duo continues to look as they did in the preseason, the offense will be fine.

Meaning, it's just up to the league's highest-paid defense to do their job. Because if they stay healthy, you can't look at all three levels on that side of the ball and tell me they don't have what may be the best unit in the league.

So could it happen? Yes. But will it?

That's up to the Steelers.
