Breece Hall makes feelings on uncertain future clear amid Jets' 0-5 start

New York Jets running back Breece Hall was at the center of trade rumors well before the team sank to the bottom of the NFL standings after starting the season with five straight losses.

While speaking with reporters in London on Friday, Hall clarified he'd like to stay with the Jets beyond the Nov. 4 NFL trade deadline.

Breece Hall loves being with the New York Jets despite record

"This is my fifth month dealing with this now," Hall said about repeatedly being mentioned as a possible trade target, per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "At this point, it is what it is. I’m here. I want to be here. I love being a New York Jet and everything."

Hall is expected to serve as the Jets' lead ball-carrier with Braelon Allen likely out until at least some point in December due to a knee injury. That said, Hall is in the final year of his rookie contract on a rebuilding team that probably isn't keen on handing any running back an expensive multiyear agreement.

ESPN stats show that Hall will enter Sunday's game versus the Denver Broncos (3-2) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ranked seventh in the NFL with 351 rushing yards on the season. While he has also contributed 150 yards on 17 receptions, he failed to find the end zone in New York's first five games.

Breece Hall ready to "only control what I do on the field" amid rumors

"At the end of the day," Hall continued, "I don’t control what goes on. I only control what I do on the field and how I handle my business off the field. So for me, it’s all about servicing my teammates and coaches the best way I can, and let God handle whatever else. Every day I come out, like I said, I’m servicing my teammates and coaches, glorifying God, and whatever happens happens after that."

As of Friday afternoon, ESPN BET had the winless Jets as 6.5-point underdogs against the Broncos. If that game turns into a laugher as some expect, talk about the Jets shopping Hall will grow louder.
