Brenton Strange Is Making His Case for a Bigger Role in Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Jaguars have seen Parker Washington emerge as the player who draws the most attention in the passing game. However, one other player needs the same recognition as Washington does, and that is Brenton Strange.

With Strange’s involvement in the offense he is primed to continue to emerge.

Brenton Strange is Already a Leading Receiver

Through four games, Strange ranks second on the Jaguars in receptions and receiving yards as he has had 14 and 167 yards. This has led to Strange having a 78.8% snap rate and has seen 0.22 targets per route run.

The biggest breakout came in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals as he had seven receptions for 95 yards. This was the game that finally showed his upside, but his participation and underlying metrics speak to his growing importance beyond the box score for the Jaguars’ offense.

As the season progresses, it will be clear that Strange will continue to evolve into a key outlet for Trevor Lawrence.
