Tennessee Titans coach Brian Callahan lost his cool with a reporter following his team’s Week 1 loss to the Denver Broncos.
The Titans were held to 133 total yards in their 20-12 loss to Denver at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Co. on Sunday. After the game, veteran Titans writer Paul Kuharsky asked Callahan what he saw that made “throwing the ball sideways” a key part of the game strategy.
“Did you have the play calls, Paul? Did you see them?” Callahan asked.

It was a fair question to ask considering how conservative the Titans’ game plan was. They took few shots downfield and mostly limited No. 1 pick Cam Ward to short throws. Subsequently, he only managed 112 passing yards in his NFL debut while going 12/28.
This isn’t the first time Callahan has had a fiery response to a question from a reporter. Sunday’s game was obviously a frustrating one, and not how he hoped to start the season. Until the Titans get more aggressive, however, these are the kinds of questions he is bound to get.
