Brian Daboll explains why former Vols WR Jalin Hyatt wasn't at the New York Giants' preseason game against the Buffalo Bills

Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt is looking to take a big jump as he enters his third season with the New York Giants.

Hyatt, a third round selection by the Giants in the 2023 NFL Draft, hasn't made much of an impact during his first two seasons in the NFL.

That's mostly because the former Vol has received limited opportunities in the Giants' offense.

Unfortunately for Hyatt, he wasn't able to make an impression in the Giants' first preseason game of the year. Hyatt didn't make the trip for the Giants' 34-25 win against the Buffalo Bills.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll told reporters after the game that Hyatt didn't make the trip due to an undisclosed injury. Hyatt stayed back to undergo treatment for the injury.

Hyatt dealt with a leg injury during OTAs, but he was at practice this past week.

It's unclear how much time Hyatt is expected to miss. The good news for Hyatt, though, is that he has a month to get healthy before the start of the 2025 season.
