Brian Flores has really helped out his coaching résumé this season as the defensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings. In fact, he has become one of the hottest names on the coaching market.

Over the past few days, the Chicago Bears and New York Jets have requested permission to speak with Flores. He's currently preparing for the NFL playoffs, but that won't stop him from listening to potential suitors. On Tuesday afternoon, he told the media that he plans on taking interviews this hiring cycle. Whether or not he'll land a job, however, is a different story.

"It’s an honor, certainly, that I definitely don’t take that lightly," Flores said, via Kevin Seifert of ESPN. "I look forward to having those conversations and talking to people about my football journey, my leadership journey."

Flores, 43, coached the Miami Dolphins from 2019-2021. He had back-to-back winning seasons before getting fired. Of course, we can't forget that he sued the NFL, accusing the league of "racial discrimination" in regards to its treatment of minority coaches.

As of right now, Flores plans on interviewing with any team interested in his services. There are currently six head-coaching vacancies in the NFL.

"I plan on taking them all," Flores said. "I plan on sitting down and having conversations with any team that's interested in talking to me about that position."

Flores also expressed interest in coaching the New England Patriots. He was Bill Belichick's linebackers coach for a few seasons before taking his talents to South Beach.

"I mean, we're talking about going home where it all started," Flores explained. "So I think that's a place that's definitely a special place. In talking about my football journey, that's where it started. So I would say yes [to questions about his interest]. But at the same time, it's not up to me as to whether or not they would want to talk to me or anything like that."

It'll be a busy month for Flores, who'll have to juggle his preparation for the NFL playoffs along with job interviews.
