The Denver Broncos aren't entirely sold on Drew Lock. Because of that, many believe they'll add another quarterback this offseason.
Peter King of NBC Sports says that instead of drafting a quarterback this year, the Broncos could trade for Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
"It won't surprise me, if the Broncos do not draft a quarterback, to see Denver make a mid-round deal for Teddy Bridgewater with Carolina," King writes.
Bridgewater is very much available after Carolina traded for former New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold earlier this month. KUSA Denver's Mike Klis mentions that Denver would only agree to a deal if the Panthers would pay part of the quarterback's salary to reduce his 2021 cap hit, which would currently be more than $15 million for the Broncos if they landed him in a trade.
Bridgewater went 4-11 last season, completing 69.1% of his passes for 3,733 yards and 15 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. If he's traded to Denver, he could compete for the starting job with Lock.
