Broncos Final Injury Report: Concerning last-second addition for All-Pro playmaker could spell disaster for Denver in Week 4

A last-second addition on the injury report has Broncos Country a little worried heading into the Week 4 showdown on 'Monday Night Football' against the Cincinnati Bengals.

All-Pro return man and wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. showed up on Saturday on the injury report with a hip injury and is now questionable for the contest. Mims Jr. was able to practice all week, with the hip injury showing up out of nowhere.

It cannot be overstated just how much of a game-breaker Mims Jr. can be both as a return man and in the passing game. Mims Jr. is in his third year in the NFL and is just the second player in team history to be named an All-Pro in each of his first two seasons in the league.

Observations

Outside of Mims Jr., the team is looking to be at full health heading into the contest. A little bit of a scare for defensive end John Franklin-Myers earlier in the week with a hip injury, but he has since been able to be a full participant throughout the remainder of the team's practices.

On the offensive side of the football, Nix is looking to have both tight ends Evan Engram and Nate Adkins for the contest. For Engram, he's been battling through his fair share of injuries throughout the early stages of the NFL season, with Denver hoping he can be one of the top options in the offense. As for Adkins, head coach Sean Payton has long expressed just how valuable he is to the long-term success of the team. Both Adkins and Engram being healthy and able to compete are huge wins for the offense, if their statuses remain unchanged ahead of Monday.

Of course, superstar linebacker Nik Bonitto appearing at any capacity on the injury report is cause for concern. The one-man wrecking crew has picked up where he left off in 2024 after inking a massive contract extension, and is one of the best players at his position across the entire league. Luckily, he appears ready to go after being a full participant all week while dealing with a wrist injury.

Rounding out the injury report was linebacker Alex Singleton, who, despite a thumb injury, was able to be a full participant throughout the week and looks to be a go for the Week 4 matchup.

All eyes are going to be on Denver and what's to come with Mims Jr. and his injury. A potentially devastating blow for the Broncos, who are looking to bounce back after back-to-back last-second losses.
