The Denver Broncos are gearing up for their Week 2 game against the Indianapolis Colts. The final injury report was released on Friday, with some big updates on both sides of the football.
The good news was that after leaving the Week 1 matchup against the Tennessee Titans , tight end Evan Engram participated in all three practices and is on track to play. He has no game status on Friday's report, which means he's ready to go for the upcoming game.
Some other positives were that defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers and linebacker Alex Singleton both look cleared to play in the upcoming contest. Singleton broke his thumb in Week 1 but played through it.
Expect to see some kind of club on him for the matchup. And for Franklin-Myers, he was dealing with a knee injury, which gives Denver one of its premier pass rushers back.
Unfortunately, both tight end Nate Adkins and linebacker Dre Greenlaw have been ruled out for the Week 2 showdown, which is a frustrating update for fans hoping to see them in action.

Adkins had been trending in the right direction after being limited on Thursday and Friday, but the team doesn't believe he's ready to return.
For Greenlaw, he's still not ready to play after dealing with a quad injury that's kept him off the field. It was at least a positive sign that both participated in a limited capacity.
The team is desperately trying to bring Greenlaw back into the fold after signing him in May 2025 , and Adkins' return has been well documented by head coach Sean Payton. The Broncos' head coach had expressed what type of role Adkins would have on the offense during the roster cutdown days in August.
The Broncos will be without LB Dre Greenlaw (quad) and TE Nate Adkins (ankle) for Sunday’s game at Indianapolis. Both practiced on a limited basis Friday, so encouraging progress. But neither ready yet.

Quarterback Bo Nix has to be happy to get one of his premier targets back on offense. In Week 1, the team struggled to move the ball down the field, and Nix finished near the bottom of the league statistically. Speaking bluntly about his performance after Week 1, Nix fully understands that he needs to be better.
“Got a lot to learn from, got a lot to grow from, which is good,” Nix said. “First game of the season, you’re going to have some hiccups. But you know, it starts with me, I’ve got to do a much better job, play better. I feel like I’m always going to say that.”
Having their offense nearly at full capacity, outside of Adkins, is reason to celebrate for Broncos Country. Engram was brought in to be a difference-maker, and while he showed flashes in the preseason, the fan base is waiting for him to erupt on the football field during the regular season.
While a few key players remain sidelined, they are trending in the right direction. Overall, it was a positive update for the Broncos heading into their Sept. 14 matchup with the Colts.
