The Denver Broncos found their franchise quarterback in Bo Nix. Now it's all about adding more weapons for him this offseason, and a certain wide receiver has been connected to the Broncos.
On Feb 5, Broncos head coach Sean Payton joined Kay Adams during Super Bowl week and said, "We're going to be a problem."
Denver's top wide receiver, Courtland Sutton, had his first 1,000-yard season since 2019, and that was also the last time the Broncos had a wide receiver hit that milestone during a season.
With the Broncos having Sutton as their leading receiver and the rest of the wide receiver room being young, Denver has been linked to an All-Pro receiver.
Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports has named the Broncos as a potential landing spot for former New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams.
"Head coach Sean Payton has his guy at the quarterback position, so maybe he looks to supply Nix with more firepower," Dajani said.
Last season, Adams played in just three games with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he caught 18 passes for just 209 yards and one touchdown.
After being traded to New York, Adams caught 67 passes for 854 yards and scored seven touchdowns in 11 games.
This marked the fifth-straight season where Adams has passed the 1,000-yard mark and has caught over 100 passes for four out of the last five years.
Earlier in the week, the Jets tried trading Adams, but other teams made it clear that they didn't want to take on his contract, which had a $38.2 million cap hit this season.
James Palmer of Underdog and Bleacher Report said, "Keep an eye on the Denver Broncos" as a potential destination for Adams.
By adding Adams in free agency and drafting a running back and tight end early in the NFL Draft, there's a real chance that Denver would own one of the best offenses in the NFL.
