Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix could see one of the league's best wide receivers coming his way this offseason.
The Broncos want to make the most of Nix's promising start to his career, and going after Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf in a trade makes sense. Sporting News' Vinnie Iye proposed the Broncos as one of the "best trade fits" for Metcalf, who has 48 career touchdowns. Metcalf officially asked for a trade on Wednesday.
Metcalf had three straight 1,000-yard seasons before 2024, where he finished just shy of the mark at 992 yards. He has four 1,000-yard seasons in his six-year career and never fewer than 900 yards.
Metcalf's production has been consistent throughout his career, with at least 58 receptions and five touchdowns annually. In addition, he has been durable, playing at least 15 games each season.
Nix had a solid season with Courtland Sutton, totaling 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns last year, but no other Broncos wideout had more than 503 yards. Metcalf would give the Broncos a dangerous wideout tandem in 2025, which wasn’t present in Nix's rookie year.
