The Buffalo Bills are considered heavy favorites in the Wild Card round over the Denver Broncos. The Bills come into the matchup as the second seed in the AFC East with a 13-4 record.

The Broncos enter with just a 10-7 record, but not with a lack of confidence. One Broncos running back established the key to upsetting the Bills. Rookie back Audric Estime laid out his plan.

“I believe we’re going to need to run the ball to win this game. It’s run-the-ball weather when it gets this cold. I don’t know who it’s going to go to but we got a bunch of dawgs Whoever gets the bulk of the carries is going to do a great job"

Estime followed up with a vote of confidence.

"We're right where we want to be...I feel like everyone in this building likes pressure"

The Broncos have largely split the carries between Javonte Williams, who ran for 513 yards and four touchdowns on 139 carries, and Jaleel McLaughlin who ran for 496 yards and one touchdown on 113 carries. Estime has gotten some work as well, with 310 yards and two touchdowns on 76 carries.

The Broncos overall have ran for 1,908 yards and 12 touchdowns, both in the bottom half of the NFL. The Broncos have deployed the third best run defense in the NFL this season, surrendering just 96 yards per game on the ground.

The Bills' run defense is 12th best in the NFL by yards (115 per game) and 10th best by touchdowns. On the other side of the ball, the Bills are top 10 in rushing yards and the NFL's leader in rushing touchdowns.

The matchup is set to take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Highmark Stadium. The forecast predicts 30 degree cloudy weather with no precipitation, and winds between 5-10 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 17..

It'll be a clash of titans between Denver's run defense and Buffalo's rusher. While it is true that whoever controls the ground the best will position themselves nicely for a win, the weather doesn't inherently indicate that it'll be a run heavy game, especially for a Bills team that is acclimated to the weather.
