The Denver Broncos will likely have their 2020 first-round pick back in action when they host Washington in Week 8. The Broncos officially activated wide receiver Jerry Jeudy from the injured reserve where he's been since suffering an ankle injury in Week 1, and according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Jeudy is expected to play Sunday.
Jeudy, 22, was the No. 15 overall pick in 2020 and finished his rookie season with 856 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He caught six passes for 72 yards in the Broncos' season opener before suffering a high-ankle sprain. He practiced Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, but sat out the Broncos' final practice session of the week on Friday.
Denver could certainly use a boost on offense after losing four consecutive games so far in October. While the Broncos averaged 25.3 points on their way to a 3-0 start to the season, the offense has lagged to an average of 18.5 points per game during its four-game skid.
In Week 8, the Broncos can get back on track offensively against Washington, which has allowed the most points in the NFL through the first seven weeks.
