The Detroit Lions won a big game on Monday night, but in the mind of one player’s brother, it was no thanks to cornerback Terrion Arnold.
Jameson Williams’ brother Jaden took to Instagram during Monday’s game between the Lions and Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. Jaden Williams shared a photo from the game, but captioned it with some harsh criticism of Arnold.
“6 soo a– it’s getting ridiculous dis s-t every week bruh,” Jaden wrote (profanity censored by LBS).
The Instagram post has since been deleted. The Lions went on to win the game, 38-30.
It’s not a good look for Williams to be publicly ripping on one of his brother’s teammates, especially since the two of them go way back. Arnold and Jameson Williams were teammates on the 2021 Alabama Crimson Tide, though Arnold was a redshirt freshman that season and did not appear in any games.
On the other hand, many Lions fans might share Jaden Williams’ frustrations with Arnold. The 2024 first-round pick has at times struggled to adapt to the NFL game. He has been particularly prone to penalties, as he was flagged for defensive pass interference seven times as a rookie and twice in three games so far this season. That included one on Monday night, in which Arnold was flagged for interfering with DeAndre Hopkins, setting up a three-yard touchdown late in the second quarter.
This is hardly the first time Arnold has been roasted. Most are not willing to give up on him yet, but Lions fans — and the family members of some players — will want to see more from him soon.
