He's back, and he'll be ready for action this fall.
On Thursday, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters in a videoconference that superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was 100% and fully recovered following offseason surgery to fix a core muscle injury.
Earlier this spring, the 27-year-old admitted that he first picked up the problem last summer and subsequently played the entire year at less than full fitness.
Per Stefanski, that's no longer an issue.
"He's looking great in some of the videos I've seen of him moving around," Stefanski said of the wideout he'll work with for the first time after the Browns hired the former Minnesota Vikings coordinator in January. "We'll have a plan for (Beckham and fellow WR Jarvis Landry) with (Senior Vice President of Player Health and Development Joe Sheehan) and the athletic training staff. We'll make sure we ramp both of them up appropriately."
Beckham was one of the main disappointments for a Browns team that flopped to a 6-10 record in 2019. He finished the campaign with 74 receptions and four touchdown grabs, his lowest scoring production for a 16-game NFL season that wasn't cut short by injury and/or suspension.
