On Tuesday evening, the Houston Rockets hosted the Los Angeles Clippers. It was the third of four meetings in 2025-26 between the two squads. In the end, Houston walked away with a 102-95 win.
Kevin Durant led all scorers with 26 points and accomplished another career milestone. The 37-year-old had 20+ points for the 1,000th time in his 18 seasons.
Only four other players in league history have done so: LeBron James, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Rare company for one of the NBA's all-time scorers.
After a 26-point performance on Tuesday, Durant has 31,841 points in his professional career. He's playing at an incredibly high level at this stage of his NBA journey (25.9 PPG). Durant's offensive production has not dipped at all. He's averaged at least 20+ points in every season he's played.

In his 18th professional season, Durant continues to climb the all-time scoring leaders list. As of Tuesday, he is sixth and is less than 500 points behind Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. Durant passed Dirk Nowitzki for sixth in January.
The two-time NBA champion is close to having a 50/40/90 season. This has only been accomplished 14 times in NBA history by nine players, including Durant, who has done it twice. He has a chance to make it three, as he is currently shooting 50.6 percent from the field, 40.5 percent from three and 88.1 percent from the free-throw line.
Along with his individual success, the Rockets are one of the top teams in the West this season. After the win on Tuesday vs. the Clippers, Houston is 33-19 and third in the Western Conference. How far can Kevin Durant help take the Rockets in 2025-26?
