Browns coach Kevin Stefanski: Odell Beckham Jr. 'doing great' recovering from torn ACL

Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. missed the second half of the 2020 season that included a journey to the playoffs and a postseason win at the Pittsburgh Steelers due to suffering a torn ACL during a victory at the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 25.

Kevin Stefanski, the reigning NFL Coach of the Year, spoke with reporters on Tuesday about the dynamic 28-year-old wideout.

"I really don’t have much of an update, other than I know he’s doing great," Stefanski said, per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "Our medical people are in contact with the guys he’s working out with. As you can imagine, he’s attacking this thing. So I know he’s doing great."

After Cleveland's playoff elimination at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs in January, Beckham said that "it was a bittersweet season being on the outside looking in" as the Browns made their first trip to the postseason in 18 years.

"He’s, as you can imagine, very very committed to getting back to 100%," Stefanski said of Beckham on Tuesday. "He’s well on his way in his rehab. So, excited about his future."

Back in January, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley, Beckham's former Big Blue teammate, told ESPN that he and the receiver planned to train together as they work to recover from their torn ACLs. Beckham's status for Week 1 of the 2021 campaign is up in the air as springtime approaches.
