Browns DE Myles Garrett calls season 'a failure'

The Browns (5-8) will likely be officially eliminated from playoff contention in Week 15. DE Myles Garrett knows it and is frustrated.

Garrett continues to produce Defensive Player of the Year-type seasons, but Cleveland will probably fall short once again.

"Each person can say they had an individually great season, but as a team, no. You fall short of the playoffs and you don't achieve what you set out to do, it's a failure," the six-year veteran said.

Garrett has 39 total tackles, 12 sacks, 14 tackles for a loss, four passes defensed, and two forced fumbles in his 2022 NFL campaign, per ESPN.com. It may be all for nothing as the Browns are headed for another losing season.

Cleveland hosts the Ravens (9-4) in Week 15 as they cling to what's left of their playoff hopes. However, Garrett thinks he may be able to wreak havoc against Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley who's coming back from injury.

"I think he's a little bit of a different athlete coming back from the injury. Still going to take him time to get back to where he was," Garrett added. "But he's still a top tackle."

Unless Garrett can put his team on his back and the Browns can get some outside help, the 26-year old will need to start preparing for the 2023 season. The Browns will have QB Deshaun Watson for the entire year, so maybe then, Cleveland can finally put together a full, competitive season.
