Browns rookie CB Myles Harden already knows what Pro Bowler’s wing he wants to be under
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Andrew Berry can’t help but select a cornerback every NFL Draft cycle and that was no different this year.

Myles Harden was a seventh-round selection of the Browns and will try to make the team with the inside-out versatility that he hopes to bring.

The South Dakota product already knows what veteran Pro Bowler he wants to learn from.

“I met Denzel (Ward) yesterday. It was good, you know, Coach (Brandon Lynch) had brought him in the locker room to see me,” Harden said on Saturday. “It was good to see him and just talk to him. And hopefully, I’m gonna be under his wing soon.”

Ward is a time Pro Bowler in his six seasons in Cleveland, so it isn’t such a bad idea for Harden to want to learn the ropes from such a talent. How is Harden adjusting to after being drafted? He is still taking it in.

“It’s been surreal,” said Harden. “It still hasn’t hit me yet that I’m in the NFL right now. It’s just crazy that I’m here standing in this position that I’m in right now, and it’s been surreal. So I’m just taking it in day by day and taking it day by day.”

Harden isn’t a lock to make the roster as a seventh-round pick, but he will have a good chance with the inside-out versatility as mentioned.
