Browns WR Jerry Jeudy has been a popular name to come up in trade rumors over the last few months, given that not a lot was expected from Cleveland this year and he could net them a decent return before the deadline.
However, the Browns have gotten off to a good start to the season and may now prefer to maintain their receiver depth than make Jeudy available to interested teams.
According to ESPN, Jeudy has maintained a good attitude despite the emergence of rookies KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston at wide receiver and the Browns are not shopping him around the league in trade conversations.
ESPN says that as of now, it appears unlikely that the Browns would trade Jeudy and even if they did the price would be high.
Previous reports mentioned that the Browns want something in the early third to fourth-round range back in a trade, but he’s unsure they’ll be able to get it.
We examined some potential landing spots for Jeudy back in August.
Jeudy, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2020 out of Alabama. He finished out the fourth year of his four-year, $15.192 million deal that included an $8.61 million signing bonus.
The Broncos picked up Jeudy’s fifth-year option for the 2024 season worth $12.978 million fully guaranteed. However, Denver traded him to the Browns for fifth and sixth-round picks.
He then signed a three-year, $54 million extension with the team.
In 2026, Jeudy has appeared in six games for the Browns and recorded 12 catches on 19 targets for 150 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
We’ll have more on Jeudy as the news is available.
