Bryce Young opens up on evolution as Panthers’ leader

Can the Carolina Panthers build off of their 2025 campaign? The Panthers ended their season on a relatively high note in the postseason. Rated as heavy underdogs in the Wild Card round, the team took the second-seeded Los Angeles Rams to the brink, even leading late in the game. While they ultimately lost that game, their performance has inspired a ton of confidence around the team.

Now, it’s up to the leaders of this Panthers team to guide them through this next phase. Quarterback Bryce Young was asked about how he has evolved as a leader over the course of his career. The former Alabama quarterback emphasized that he needs to learn about the new players coming in every year.

“Yeah, I think every year you have to make sure you’re learning your new team,” Young told Mike Tomlin in an interview. “I’m grateful to have a lot of guys that I’ve been around for a while now, have that rapport built in. But year in, year out, you have to make sure you’re learning the new guys, the guys that are coming in. I’m comfortable with this, being in the building, with the franchise, with all that, and then continuing to push and be the leader that we need, and that changes every day.”
