The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bringing back their iconic Creamsicle uniforms for another season.
The Buccaneers unveiled their 2025 game themes, highlighting a Creamsicle throwback on December 11 for a Thursday Night Football showdown against the Atlanta Falcons at Raymond James Stadium.
The Bucs first donned Creamsicle uniforms during their 1976 NFL debut. After a decades-long hiatus, the team revived the iconic look with a modern twist in 2023.
Speaking two years ago, Buccaneers Chief Operating Officer Brian Ford. “Our fans have waited a decade to see our players back in these classic Creamsicle jerseys, and we are excited to celebrate our rich legacy when we debut these one-of-a-kind uniforms.”
The Creamsicle uniforms haven’t exactly been a winning formula for the Buccaneers. In 2023, they wore the throwbacks and lost 20-6 to the Detroit Lions. Last season, they donned the iconic uniforms again, only to fall 31-26 to the Atlanta Falcons. Despite Baker Mayfield’s 330 passing yards and 2 touchdowns, Kirk Cousins’ 276 yards and 4 scores sealed the win for Atlanta.
The Buccaneers aren’t letting past losses taint their beloved Creamsicle uniforms. Instead, they’ll rock the iconic look again in a crucial NFC South showdown against the Falcons, with major division implications on the line.
