Buccaneers Bring Back Familiar Face On A One-Year Deal

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a one-year deal with defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches, bringing the veteran back to Tampa Bay after spending the past several seasons with the New York Giants.

Via the Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud,

“Bucs agreed to a one year deal with DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches. Nacho returns to Tampa Bay after several seasons with the Giants.”

Rakeem Nunez-Roches is a veteran defensive tackle who was born in Belize and raised in Alabama. He played college football at Southern Miss before being selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Over his career, he has spent time with the Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Giants, and was part of Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl LV championship team. Known as “Nacho,” he’s a stout run defender who typically serves as a rotational piece and brings strong leadership and energy to the locker room.
