The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are running out of Defensive Backs following Christian Izien being ruled “OUT” with an oblique injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“Bucs DB Christian Izien is out with an oblique injury. Not a good thing as the secondary is being tested.”

The Buccaneers will be crossing their fingers that defensive back Christian Izien’s oblique injury, suffered during Saturday’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, isn’t serious. Izien exited the game and didn’t return, leaving the Buccaneers’ safety depth chart thin. Especially with Antoine Winfield Jr. dealing with a lower leg injury and rookie J.J. Roberts out for the season with a knee injury. Izien’s injury might keep him sidelined for around three to four weeks, potentially ruling him out for Week 1 or 2.
