Buccaneers Decline To Tender RB Sean Tucker

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker wasn’t given a restricted tender, so he’ll hit free agency. Last season he rushed for 320 yards and seven touchdowns.

Via ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler,

“No restricted tender for Bucs RB Sean Tucker, per source. He’ll be a free agent. Rushed for 320 yards and seven touchdowns last year.”

The move comes as Tampa Bay reshuffles its backfield—Rachaad White is also heading to free agency and Bucky Irving remains under contract, so Tucker hits the market at a time when the Bucs could look to bring him back or let another club pick him up. His production in a backup role makes him an intriguing low‑cost option for teams needing depth at running back.

Last season (2025) he appeared in all 17 games, carried 86 times for 320 yards (3.7 avg) and scored 7 rushing touchdowns, plus a receiving TD. It was a career‑high TD total for him and he also contributed on kick returns.
