Buccaneers Re-Sign Veteran Defensive Lineman

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are gearing up for the 2025 NFL Draft which is a month away. The team still has some finishing touches to add to their roster ahead of the draft. Friday, the team re-signed defensive lineman Eric Banks to bolster depth on their defensive line.

Via Fox Sports Greg Auman,

“Bucs have re-signed defensive lineman Eric Banks to a one-year deal for 2025 worth $1.03 million. Missed last season with a torn triceps, has four career tackles. Last played with Cardinals in 2022-23. Will compete for a backup DL job this fall.”

Eric Banks was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Rams on April 30, 2020. He was released by the team on October 10, 2020, but rejoined the Rams’ practice squad just a week later, on October 17, 2020. He was originally signed by the Buccaneers in January of 2024.
