Buccaneers sign seven-time Pro Bowl WR Julio Jones

Seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones will catch passes from Tom Brady next season on a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jones, 33, spent the first decade of his career with the Atlanta Falcons, where he racked up 12,896 yards and 60 touchdowns over 10 seasons. In June 2021, he was traded to the Tennessee Titans for a 2022 second-round pick and a swap of third-day selections in 2023.

In his only season with Tennessee, Jones dealt with a hamstring injury and caught only 31 passes for 434 yards in 10 games. He recorded his only touchdown of the year in the Titans' regular-season finale. Jones was released by the team in March.

Now Jones will join the Falcons' division rival, where he'll be part of a wide receiving corps that includes four-time Pro Bowler Mike Evans and one-time Pro Bowler Chris Godwin.

Last season, the Buccaneers won the NFC South with a 13-4 record but lost in the divisional round of the playoffs against the Los Angeles Rams. Godwin was out of action in the playoffs due to a knee injury, and the Buccaneers parted ways with receiver Antonio Brown late in the regular season after a mid-game meltdown.

Jones is 17th in NFL history in receiving yards and needs 670 yards to become the 13th player to reach 14,000 career yards.
